One more time with feeling

Where the FUCK am I????

Now that's out of my system - for now - I'm writing this down in case, well, in case. So Mum knows what happened. Not that I know what happened. I only know what happened to me - yeah, and that makes so much sense.

My name is Cass Devlin. Cassandra Eloise Devlin. Cass for short. Never Cassie.

I was walking home from school. I turned a corner, and I was here. That's it. No flashing lights, no warning, no blackout, no nothing but me one minute being in Sydney and the next here.

Here is...here is the problem. It's definitely not Sydney. I don't think it's Australia, either, unless it's some kind of really large botanic garden on a tableland or something. Or Tasmania. But I'm sure they'd have gum trees in Tasmania, and that's the thing. The trees are all wrong. I'm out in the country somewhere, but the wrong country. Hills with lots of big trees, too many to describe but none of them remotely like Eucalypt. The birds sound wrong, too, at least from the couple of times we went camping.

My mobile isn't getting any signal. I can't see any buildings or power lines. No planes have flown over. I haven't been able to see anything at any distance, so I'm trying to at least get out of these trees, or to a lookout or something. I've been walking for maybe half an hour - my watch says it's 3.30 but the sky thinks it's later. I've found a bit of a track between all the trees and bushes and I'm going to follow it.
